Answers to the questions we get most often. Still stuck? Reach out and we'll help.
Is Rustpedia official?
No. Rustpedia is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Facepunch Studios. All game content, names and assets belong to their respective owners.
Where does the item data come from?
Directly from the game. Item stats, crafting costs and recycle yields are exported from a live Rust staging server, so when Facepunch ships an update the changes flow through to the site rather than being typed in by hand.
How often is it updated?
Whenever the game changes. The exporter runs against the staging server on every save, so the catalogue tracks the current build closely.
Can I buy skins here?
No. Rustpedia is a reference database — it shows skins and market context, but all trading happens on Steam. We never sell items or skins.
I found something wrong or out of date. What do I do?
Let us know. Corrections and suggestions are always welcome and help keep the data accurate for everyone.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to browse. Signing in with Steam only adds personal touches like bookmarks and favourites.
